SOME RECOMMENDATIONS FOR RAISING BILINGUAL CHILDREN

ONLINE:

Jose Luis Orozco, the Pied Piper of bilingual music for kids in the U.S., has over a dozen cd's and books,
mostly of traditional Spanish-language children's songs (and some of his own originals).
He's always my first recommendation for families looking for children's music cd's.

Isla, an online catalog of goods from Puerto Rico, has some books, videos,
toys, and cd's for kids, including one favorite, "Canciones Infantiles",
an old recording with a very sweet, traditional children's music sound.

Try both Bilingual Journey and Spanish Toys
for Spanish books, music, videos, educational software, and more

Bilingual & Multilingual Children's Association is a web-guide to raising multilingual
children. Advice, parent discussions, tips and articles on
kids (from birth through school) growing up with multiple languages.

IN NEW YORK CITY:

La Escuelita, Manhattan's premier private bilingual Spanish-English pre-school,
is a delightful place for your child to learn and grow. But we're biased, Graciela is the music teacher there!

ISB (International School of Brooklyn), is New York's only language-immersion school
following the International Baccalaureate Curriculum, with both Spanish and French language tracks.
Some of our "graduates' go there, and we've heard great things about it from their parents!

El Pequeno Artista offers a Montessori-based Spanish immersion pre-school in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
